A mark two Greyfriars Bobby. The event has shifted from Scotland to China but the scenario remains the same.

Dog ,old man and divorce. Course my kids, family, wife, and in-laws could not stand me I don’t know what makes me feel a dog will feel any different about my wretched ways.

I think what distinguishes dogs like Greyfriars Bobby and this one in China from thousands of other faithful dogs is that they somehow determined where their masters’ remains were interred. Most dogs that loyal just pine away without a gravesite to go and grieve. Many a dog has planted itself by a window to stare out in vain hope of the loved one’s return.

He probably hasn’t heard of you or me either. 8>P

Since there is a bowl in the picture I assume someone or a few people started to leave food for the dog since he wouldn’t leave the grave to find food for himself. He might not have died.

That’s a grave situation for the poor dog! …sorry!

Had a friend who set up a color darkroom. He wondered why none of his prints looked right to everyone else. Found out he is colorblind!!!

If they check Lao Pan’s grave, they will find why the doggie did not have to “go out” for food.

Interesting….so this Thomas Eakin guy convinced hundreds of cities and states to give him his own holiday? Egotistical much?

Now his count is 315 states, counties, cities and ONE stupid comic(?).

For an egotistical total of 317 ( you have to include him, unless like 99% of the population he has NEVER heard of himself)!!!!

Stories of faithful dogs (and very rarely cats?) abound. I recall a grave of a faithful dog (mid-late 50s) in Great Falls, Montana that was visible from the Western Star. Recall the story in an old Coronet magazine. (Western Star – RIP c/o Amtrak)Anyone with more details?

I’ll have to google Thomas C. Eaken. He sounds like a terrific man. Dogs a lot of times stay faithful to their masters even in death.

If people had the same love that dogs have, what a wonderful world it would be!
