Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for March 02, 2012
Transcript:
Rob: Hey guys, what's up?...Ok, forget what's up, what's that? Bucky: The D.U.S.I. Satchel: Bucky put a salad fork onto a desk lamp arm and screwed it into a blender to make a mechanical back scratcher. Bucky: Well, don't just stand there speechless. Get out of here.

The expression of shock and horror, are worth a 1000 words.

What exactly do you say to that scene? If you actually cared about them. With it being Bucky I just wanted to say hold on a sec and get a video camera…

Ya know you could take someone’s eye out with that thing!

Bucky had better quit forking around before somebody gets hurt.

It will be very sad - but one day we will learn Rob has been hallucinating the human qualities of his pets. And worse, they only existed in his mind.

“Don’t just stand there speechless. Get out of here.” Classic. So many opportunities to use that in real life. And I shall.

Yeah, I have filed away Buck’s dismissal-line. And yes, I"m gonna quote it. Won’t give credit, tho.

Y’know. If Rob would just let Bucky turn one of his “inventions”on. it would likely end his feline problems?

Well, if the motor is strong enough to spin the arm around, you will have a fork-tipped arm spinning around the room, possibly disintegrating and flinging sharp pieces of stuff around. Ouch! If not, the smoke test will be a literal smoke test, as the blender motor burns out. Or some combination of both- the motor won’t be spinning fast enough to keep itself cool, then the smoke comes out.

From an engineering standpoint, turning that contraption on would result in an unbalanced spin load, flinging the blender onto the floor after 3/4 of a revolution, resulting in a circular, violent slapping motion, parts flying everywhere, most likely unplugging the unit from the wall. The whole event would likely last less than 3 seconds, possibly resulting in a trip to the ER, if somebody happened to be in the way. I like it!

Pygar and Bill, thank you! Finally the engineering review…I’d love to see that!

Just had a thought. What would happen if Bucky discoverd Battlebots?……http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oo3zWxO3yYs

Okay….some of you are putting way too much thought into this. A CAT invented this. A CAT! Sheez!

Bucky looks so pleased with himself. Satchel a little worried. I’m with the rest of you – I want to see what happens when they turn on the blender.

It’s only safe when used on mechanical backs.
