A scientist with corporate funding is automatically suspect but one who depends on government grants is obviously impartial?

And when has climate ever NOT changed? The earth does what the earth does regardless of our puny efforts. Remember the coming Ice Age of the 1970’s?

pschearer: I remember. Based mainly on dendrochronology (tree rings) and ice cap evidence, the 1970s were supposed to be the peak of an abnormal period of warm, moist, and stable weather, and it would be downhill from that. Instead, it changed to hot, drought, and a mix of blizzards, tornados, and floods. Now how does that indicate it is “just the natural cycle” rather than human slopping things up again? Except for the few non-scientists (despite their PhDs in those fields) on the take, how do you explain over a thousand peer-reviewed papers demonstrating climate change, versus none from the corporate propagandists? Oh yeah, conspiracy.

Climate change isn’t caused by man, next you’ll be saying all the plastic in the ocean is the fault of man too! We know it’s all those damn fish that keep throw plastic food wraps in the Ocean after eating snacks.

Those darn fish. It must be all the fish methane that’s causing the ice to melt and raising sea levels. It doesn’t really matter if scientists are on the take or if this has nothing to do with mankind. The reality is that the climate is changing. We are going to live in an age of environmental refugees. It has already started for many islanders all over the world. The Carteret Islands in New Ginea, the Marshall islands, the Maldives…….. Tell them that global warming isn’t real.

pschearer: “On the take” because many interests, primarily oil, have them on the payroll. This is nothing new. In McLean v. Arkansas (“creationism”), the creationist side had only one theologian, the rest being PhDs in science from mostly prestigious universities, while the evolutionists had half and half. McLean was pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock at the time (and Hilary and Chelsea’s pastor). The creationists got a substantial part of their income from testifying in such cases, while the evolutionists were predominately first-time witnesses. The creation law was thrown out as an establishment of religion under the first and fourteenth amendments.
