That boy ain’t right.

He could start a mostly grey-colored rock collection in his left side pocket instead.

My daughter used to carry a rock collection in her pack. We still have a large bowl of her better specimens sitting outside on the patio.

Put the ammo on the left side.

Yeah, Bolling is great. Does anyone recall his last “Meanwhile, back at the . . .” Tom the Dancing Bug strip (gotta go to Amelia Island, no time to look it up)? I showed it to all my friends and relatives, and the only ones who got and appreciated it were my Aspie grandson and I.

Life (and backpacks)…..balancing acts.

I was just thinking exactly that.

I think schools have every right to be paranoid about that. If they were to do more to stop bullying, they might not have to worry so much about guns.

This backpack vignette is awesome..

If it’s Petie’s only excercise, let it be! Kids should do something. In grade school my friends and I use to run races along the sidewalks. We also chased butterflies and lightning bugs.

Well I can’t fault Petey for having all that stuff in his backpack. It kind of looks like my purse! LOL!

I have recently discovered Cul De Sac. Petey reminds me so much of my own son. I’m devastated to hear of Richard Thompson’s illness. I’m off to Barnes and Noble to get any anthology I can lay my hands on. Our paper does not carry this gem. Spread the word this strip deserves to be read. Love and support to Richard Thompson and his family.

But, what about Alice the joy-riding, pocket picking, little sister. . . What about Alice. It’s killin’ me. What will Miss Bliss do when she finds out. . . stay tuned? I hope! Madeline could have bigger fish to fry than Pete’s over-filled back pack if Alice continues down the seedy path of Thursday’s events.

Ha, Ha, reminds me of a sports car racing incident my husband had. To be legal, the cars had to be a certain weight, but at that time, the rules also prohibited adding weight. Old British sports cars tended to have a lot of rust. His was no exception. The loophole in the rules allowed for carrying tools. In order to make weight, hubby would stuff tools in his door panels – big wrenches, knock-off hammers and the like.He also experimented with suspension modifications. One race at Limerock, just as he reached the top of the hill on the back side of the course, a king pin broke. The front end was light at the time, but when it came down, both front wheels were pointed inward. The result was a violent end over end series of flips which he survived but the car didn’t.I was standing in pit lane at the time, worried, because hubby had not come around when expected. A racing buddy who had been running behind him pulled in to tell me my hubby had wrecked, but was out of the car and walking around.The buddy later told me that the first thing he saw when arriving at the top of the hill was a hammer falling out of the sky.

This strip is spot on! I totally remember having all kinds of crazy junk in my overweight backpack. Steel ball-bearings (steelies), metal washers to trick the old candy machines, golf balls, and silverware cuz our school only gave us plastic sporks.

I never had a backpack to school. No one did. I’m not sure they had been invented yet. No, I’m not old!!! You guys are just all young!
