Two points:(1) I hope the ants Agnes had were Tapinoma sessile (advantage of that species being that she can possibly grab some to replace those she has killed through “milking”—it’s a common pest ant in the US)(2) in some places, insects are eaten directly—so her “milk” and “cheese” would have no market
I think it’s great, and I seriously applaud while laughing at some of you privileged narrow people going thru your ‘yuck’ factor.
No freedom really ever possible for you guys…somebody else programmed you with limitations, and not just in taste.
Who really told you what was good and bad, and wound you up like little springpowered clickety robots and set you somewhat loose with your unrecognized preset monitoring and guidance systems? No freedom for you.
Agnes really is on to something. Whatever our future is to be, much of its bounty will come from currently unrecognized sources, and will require changes…yougoofballs are already acting like dinosaurs who can’t change and adapt. Adios.
Tigre — OK, OK …. if you’re that hungry, you can have my ant cheese!
Just about EVERY culture has taboos.
Those concerning clothing and hairstyles may have had a protective meaning now lost to us; but many taboos about food, sex, and disease, whether by accident or through empirical evidence saved many societies from illness, inbreeding and death.
True, some are no longer needed, but survive ….
Good luck to you as you travel the universe, single-handedly deciding which ones, berating their followers, and breaking down age-old cultural practices.
If its covered in chocolate and/or nice crispy bacon….. don’t tell me what it is or let me see the six hairy legs or other things…….Think I’ll go have some chocolate.

Trout the taste panelist. An honor in this case I’m sure she’d rather avoid.

… and, of course, our salvation will be considerably lengthened as we obligingly plow thru your asinine contentions.
