I have never seen Rufus with big buck teeth like in that first panel. This may be the first appearance of his teeth in this strip ever.

The building in frame 2 is a dead ringer for the building I worked in for over 10 years: Statesville, North Carolina old City Hall. Go to google images and type in “statesville city hall” to see for yourself.
