Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
For those who are interested, I’ve posted five Peanuts strips over at Calvin and Hobbes today, showing how the panel heights and widths evolved over the 50 years of Peanuts.
jerry67 is right. “Unique” means “the only one of its kind”. Either it is or isn’t unique. Nothing can be “more” or “very” or “rather” the only one of its kind.
And so, who played first base on Charlie Brown’s team?
Schroder was catcher.Charlie was pitcher.Linus was 2nd base.Snoopy was shortstop.Lucy was right field.I think Violet and Patty were left and center field.
Who’s on first? (I will probably regret typing that.)
@Toronto2: Shermy was shown playing first base at least once. Pigpen was at second once, but Charlie Brown had difficulty seeing him because Pigpen blended in with the infield. Sometimes Frieda was an outfielder.

End of April, 1965. Just got my driver’s license and was dating Jeannie Pearson. This was one of Schulz’s best ever.

Excellent! I was thinking of the very strip a week or two ago when we were discussing the team lineup.

That’s about the only part of your team you can be proud of, Charlie Brown.

Except that by the time Linus gets the ball, it’s covered with dog slobber.

I think Patty played first base in the early days (not Peppermint Patty, the first one)….
