Artists can be so touchy…

Sometimes I wonder about the spiritual message behind the guardian angel.

I know he is teasing Pasquale in this comic but sometimes he is fiercely irrational, unpredictable, mean-spirited etc.

And I know it’s just a comic but I like to use my brain. Why include a guardian angel if there isn’t a reason for it? And if you include that guardian angel what does his behavior say about the spiritual beliefs of the comic characters / the spiritual nature of the comic universe? _

Will there be a ‘flood’ of responses?

There are those who believe that a rainbow is a bad sign. It is a sign that God is holding back his anger and would be destroying the Earth again if not for his promise to Noah.

Just shows that there are many ways to interpret anything, not all of which are self-obvious.

@shamino: or maybe it’s simply a beautiful reminder that He hasn’t stopped caring even if we are less than wonderful children …

Isn’t it about time for Pasquale to stop believing in bronze age fairy tales?

The rainbow means promise. God is the source of that promise. He’s the calm DURING the storm.

I like the guardian angel.

The creation proves the existence of God. Evolution is the only alternative, and is the real myth.
