I’ve often been impressed by how many of the greatest people in their professional fields knew by age 10 what they wanted to do with their lives. It gives them at least a 10 year head-start on everyone else.
Of course, the issue here for Annie is just how much life that is. I wonder if Forgetta and Rose haven’t painted (or otherwise drawn) themselves into an uncomfortable corner by have a character with cancer. Do they cure her? Let her be sick forever? Or … oh, no! Not that!

@pschearer, I, too, have always been amazed at people who knew what they wanted to do in life as a child. I STILL don’t know!
