Jeeze, Flo, your service is going to pot..Just another day in the life for Pollie though…(is that how it’s spelled?) He’s a cat’s cat…

I love how Wiley drew the little puffs of smoke out of eddie’s pipe, when everybody was looking at Flo in the silent second to last panel….Beautiful comic timing…

On some deep philosophical level they might be right(wing); however, its the exploitation of the Lady Pahts, by men who feel they have dominion over them, that are the real problem. Leaping Lemurs… I think I’ve got it!

Okay… I know… before anyone criticizes… The first phrase of the second part of the compound sentence has for its subject “the exploitation”, which, in this case, is singular. So, the preposition “are” which appears in the last phrase and modifies the subject of the first phrase should have been written as “is” to denote the singularity and, in addition, relates properly the the singular noun “problem” at the end.Jeez.

There is an important rule that a lot of people forget. Never, ever @*#$ with the people who make your food. Eddie, in having his head stuck in the coffee pot got off lucky. The rest of them might want to look twice at their breakfast tomorrow.

It’s not the lady “pahts” that are the problem; it’s the chasing after them that causes all the expense and misery.

Lady pahts have also been the source of much joy and happiness. Let us appreciate and revere them…hopefully without mentioning our mothers again. Kinda creepy, that.

If’n youse is referrin’ ta the missin’ apostrophe in the sentence containin’ da phrase “…sentence has for its subject…” den youse is WRONG. Hand back da pedant award pendant. :)

It’s the contracted form of “it is” that gets the apostrophe. Its a common error to put the apostrophe into the possessive form. The usual rule is backwards here, which makes the possessive apostrophe into something it’s not. In this case, the apostrophe isn’t used, because, in this sentence, it’s not referring to “it is,” but is using the possessive version of its. There, have I pounded that into the ground far enough for the dog to dig it up and roll in it until said dog needs a bath?
