Poor Ralph, here have a doughnut…

Yeah Ralph, do not forget they said we would have the Jetson’s flying car by now also.

… and ten-hour work weeks …

On the other hand, thanks to Skype, we do have the TV Telephones they promised us in the movie “2001.”

I’ve been waiting for my jetpack for 50-60 years. I’ll give them just another 30-40 and then I’m giving up.

My only regret is that I squandered so much of my lifespan on the 20th century.

Don’t worry, Ralph, no one got voted off. The judges used their “save” option. :)

when ‘Blade Runner’ came out in 1982, its vision of 2019 (seemed like such an exotic, super futuristic number for a year and now it’s only seven years off) included not only an array of sophisticated human replicant robots, but flying cars that could hover and land like silent helicopters…….the future , in the eighties and before, always assumed that technology and personal transportation would advance proportionately to those technological leaps in the 20th century , including interplanetary space travel……….eh……not so much- – but we have great advances in computers, 3D tv and videogames!yippee!

Cheer up Ralph, there are still 87 more years in this century, stay toooned . . . . ☻

No one is more disappointed than I that the future we were promised in the ’60s is nothing like the Jetsons or even 2001

Except that we named our first “Roomba”, “Rosie” (after the robot maid on the Jetsons.

I thought Ralph had enough sense not to watch that crap. Disappointing.
