GRAMPS: Not "Cressly's Bakery?" NATE: No! "Cream Puffs!" Right across out chests it says "Cream Puffs!" Is that the worst name ever or what? We're going to be a laughingstock! All the other teams have real names like "Al's Auto Glass" and "Cycle City!" But not us! It's a total nightmare. GRAMPS: Well think of it this way: You're young, you're healthy, and the biggest problem you've got is the name of your ball team! NATE: Gramps is minimizing my siffering again. GRAMS: Aw, too bad, sweetie. Have a cookie.

Years ago when Scottsdale Community College took funds meant for a library and spent it on the football team, the student body was a bit upset. They were allowed to vote on the name of the team and the school colors. They became the Scottsdale Artichokes and their colors were pink and white. They are no longer in pink uniforms, but thirty years later they are still the artichokes.

Ahhh, cookies!! The sure-fire instant band-aid for the traumas of a pre-teen mind and heart. But will they work on this one? I doubt it. He’s not only saddled with that name, he’s got Kim….or vicey-versey!! Laugh! LAUGH!!
