I could never figure out what you needed an umbrella for either Red!

That’s what happens when you expose kids to the classics, they take it EXACTLY the way you DIDN’T mean it!

What a great strip today. I love that movie, especially the ditsy blond Lena Lamont — “I can’t make love to a bush!”

I love the rain. I grew up in northern California in the 70’s. Umbrellas were used to walk from the house to the bus stop in the morning and from the bus stop to the house in the afternoon. After that, umbrella was traded for old clothes and everyone went out to play mud-tag. (Old clothes were defined as anything that had already been through a game of mud-tag and was permanently stained the red-clay color of that mud.)

Mom must not appreciate the “classics”….

I couldn’t read what Red’s Mother and he said in the last segment.

Looks like he forgot his raincoat. It’s nice to see his mom again.

Glad Brian remembers the MGM musicals..Just singing..and..dancing………in the rain..And Donald O’Conner sings..“Make em Laugh”
