GeneralGiap, do you know about the American Protective League? If you don’t, it’s an aspect of WW I that will make your hair stand on end. There’s a book about it on archive.org, “The Web” by Emerson Hough. Hough was disturbingly pleased by its actions.
Holy moly! Even though I knew it had to be Ed Sullivan, that photo of Ed looks so much like my dad did, I read the caption to be sure. People always said he looked like Ed Sullivan but I never saw as much resemblance as in that picture. If that’s an Irish look, dad came by it honestly. His father married the granddaughter of a well to do Irish farmer (there’s a road named after him on the west edge of West Lafayette) and it was sort of a scandal in her family that she didn’t marry an Irishman,Now if only I had a scanned in photo of dad at an appropriate age, I could post it but no such luck.

Rev it up baby! I like the original wording better, BTW.

How do they recognize a cartoonist when they see one? Is it the generally disheveled appearance? The unmistakable gleam of insanity in their eyes?

Is that driver a secret ally of the GoComics overlords, altering his original instructions so as to go at a cartoonist instead? INTOLERABLE!

Cartoonists don’t use crosswalks do they. I thought they liked to venture outside the lines.

Dear Nice(?) Teresa
Violence promoted on Frog Applause? Well, I’ll swan to goodness. I never thought I’d live to see the day.
Tsk tsk, Teresa; tsk tsk.
Sincerely,
Rotifer’s (sad and disappointed) Mother
