what’s the green thing?

That’s Pokie and Gumby. Some woman tied poor Gumby in knots.

He would have bent over backwards for her. All she had to do was ask because he was putty in her hands.

Who are Pokie and Gumby?

Even as an adult, I find the green thing quite scary. I don’t think these characters are known in the UK.

Oh…..it must be a distant relative of Morph. Doesn’t look so scary in the “flesh”.

Gumby and Pokey

Gumby and Pokie are early “clay-mations.” When I watched them as a kid, I was uneasy with them since I knew they weren’t cartoon characters, but they weren’t actors in costumes either. I couldn’t figure out what they were until many years later, when more stop-action animated clay figures began to appear on the scene.

Obscure? That made Eddie Murphy famous.

Man up, Gumby!

Never liked Gumby. Creepy proselytizer.

I never could stand Gumby. Never watched it. Very creepy and stupid.

I must be ancient at 52 to remember Gumby!!!!

When it came to issues of the heart Gumby was never level headed. He had twisted slant on things.

I loved my Gumby figure so much, I slept with it. I used to tie him up in knots,too.

I don’t remember Gumby, but I do remember Davey and Goliath. Mostly how Goliath said “Hey Davey”.
