Transcript:
In March 2011, a rare atmospheric mirage in China created an optical illusion that made it appear that 2 suns were setting side-by-side! New Lease From Lettuce Elsie Campbell of Derby, England, developed strong cravings that led her to eat several whole lettuce heads daily. The new cravings prompted Elsie to visit the doctor, then found she had developed breast cancer! The Cryogenics Institute- founded in 1976, has more than 100 bodies preserved in liquid nitrogen waiting for a scientific breakthrough that one day might revive them!

That optical effect is usually caused by ice crystals in cirrus clouds. I saw such a “sundog” during the solar eclipse of 1979. It was a fuzzy crescent the size and shape of the still partially eclipsed Sun after totality.

Regarding the Cryonics Institute:
I find the world we live in NOW pretty horrendous – I can’t imagine how much more horrific it might be in the future (if the planet manages to survive the scourge of humans on it.) I wouldn’t want to be there.

If I were in China and not prepared at all for the twin sun appearance, I’d go hyperreligious.

It’s a sad but true Believe it or Not that if the cryonics people someday try reviving the frozen Ted Williams, he’ll have to get along without a head. But, come to think of it, a lot of people seem to get along fairly well without a brain.

It’s known that people with anemia crave ice and eat ice cubes like it’s popcorn. I don’t know what the connection is.

Why is she smiling?!! “Allo! I’ve just found out I have cancer, I have!” I can see cancer from a smoking addiction, but from lettuce?
