Iā€™m shocked that A. heā€™s getting a signal and B. the outfit heā€™s with is cool with him tweeting from there.

They wouldnā€™t be. We werenā€™t allowed to even have the batteries in ours. Taliban, AQI, etc. all track them. Same reason we werenā€™t allowed any non-secure Comms (e.g. Motorola talkabouts)ā€¦Sucked, but thatā€™s life.

They like Roland. They even let him go first if he wants to tweet from in front about the mines.

Hopefully he turned off the GPS on it. And hopefully there is not a Taliban on the other end with an iPhone 4S. Taliban: ā€œWhere is Roland Hedley?ā€iPhone 4S: ā€œTargetingā€¦ 665 yards SSW of youā€¦ā€

But would he know what to do with it?

Wasnā€™t it Chris Wallace who kept giving away his location during the first Gulf War?

If Roland can take the time to type his banal tweets, wouldnā€™t he do a better job by actually talking into the phone?!

Iā€™m short on factsā€¦long on bitterness that when we go to war we hire it doneā€¦864 companies with top secret clearances working for profitā€¦a situation aching for corruption.

YOu KNOW the contracts for Afghan opiates have already been arranged with American mercs, and it should be hitting American cities soonā€¦duh.

Yeah, I remember when Geraldo RIvera got kicked out of the war zone. I think he immediately left Iraq, which probably saved his life. Geraldo is such an idiot that he would have gotten himself and possibly others killed. Isnā€™t Roland based on Geraldo? Both are narcissists without a clue.
