And as for the bunny face\butt controversy… perception is nine tenths of the view;I went to the dam to get some dam water,But the dam man told me I couldn’t have any dam water,So I told the dam man to keep his dam water.
Teresa, I always drew my bunnies with the back facing the viewer. My sister and I loved decorating eggs, using toothpicks and food coloring. The back of a bunny was easier to draw, so it went much faster.
Dangit. I’m bummed that my friendly neighborhood* museum of “American Indians and Western Art”, the Eiteljorg, has nothing of/on William Sampson, Jr.*less than an hour’s drive from here
Re the blog and Pearl Fryar:Before we moved, I lived less than 45 minutes away from Mr. Fryar. My wife and I have stopped by to see his garden and have talked to him several times. He is such a nice, humble fellow who really enjoys helping Nature create new ways to show forth its Beauty!
A Man Named Pearl is a wonderful documentary. It shows how a passion can grow into a compulsion and how art can be hidden within, only to spring forth with a determination, a desire and a driven desire. I urge you all to watch it.
Gaijinrabbit-san. It is good to see you back; keep us in the loop. Best wishes for expeditious and gratifying job success. You’re clearly an overqualified, uh, something or other… :o)
For those of you who are absurdly young, that sweet pic of Joan Collins being menaces by a giant insect is from the film, “Empire of the Ants.”
Now then, who can tell me something about that pic of Anita Ekberg posing in front of old-timey science fiction computers? Is that from some film, or just a photo shoot with a sci-fi theme?

Reader, attend! whether thy soul
Soars fancy’s flights beyond the pole,
Or darkling grubs this earthy hole,
In low pursuit;
Know, prudent, cautious, self-control
Is wisdom’s root.
