Baldo Thinking: So Estella has a boyfriend... and she believes cool cars are foolish. Baldo Thinking: But, somehow, I still find her alluring. Baldo Thinking: I feel so... so... Baldo Thinking: confused.
My friends and I are all talking about the new, interesting, Baldo. I paid little or no attention to the old, dumb Baldo. The transformation in art, storyline and intellect is nothing short of stunning. I love it. Who could have imagined Cubism would ever play a role on the comic page???? Go Baldo!!!!
I have a suggestion for all you critics – make your own strip. There are quite a few of us who’d love to poke holes in your efforts. Or, read a different strip and shaddap already!!! Sheesh, you folks are annoying!
Don’t worry, Baldo. She’ll take you on as a ‘fixer-upper’…she thinks she can change you…and you won’t. And you don’t want HER ever to change…and she will, believe…well, look around.
It seems to me that the art style and awkward dialogue this week are poking fun at Mexican telanovelas (soap operas). Have no fear, the style change is only temporary. It’s all part of the joke.

I do not like this comic style. Reminds me to much of Mary Worth.

I sense a transition back to more traditional Baldo. The encounter is over – back to reality.

Melvin’s right! Can we make this a “No Whining Zone?”
blackdawne about 12 years ago
AT least they are whining about the strip and not politics. This I can understand.

What has that got to do with anything?

Where will it all lead…abstract impressionism? Tough to apply captions to that…and what does an abstract auto parts store look like?

I can’t not imagine a teen age boy of any “ethnicity” saying “But somehow, I still find her alluring.”.
Ain’t gonna happen.

I kinda like this new form.

I doubt the “comic” Baldo has ever used “alluring” in a sentence.
