He has two more plates in his hands than were in the air. That’s weird.

Irwin has unexpected talents! –And such a good heart!

No, what’s weird is that anybody would actually stop and count the plates!

So why is Irwin doing womens work?

What ever needs doing in the house is anyones work. Any sex can do any job, and should. That old womens work thing is just that, old and out of date.

This maybe very sad… but I counted them too before I read the posts ;)

So did the results of counting the plates take away from your enjoyment of the strip? Why would you do such a thing.

I didn’t think Nerwin was so talented.

I almost counted the plates, but stopped myself just in time.

Exactly, @JP Steve. First thing is, Irwin says “You wash.” Next, the wet plates are spinning in the air. I’ve been wondering when/where they got washed - had I missed something? So it’s nice to know someone else saw (or rather didn’t see) the same thing that I did.

Maybe the extra two plates (I did not count them, I’m taking everybody’s word for it) are insurance against one or two breaking. Otherwise, he will always have more and more plates. Maybe he could sell or give away some of them?

I’m blathering. But I guess that’s ok for this strip.

heh - I counted the plates too. But, no, it didn’t in any way detract from my enjoyment. as the blog says: ——————— The strip is simply a loony-bin where what’s said and done often makes no sense whatsoever, much to the joy of its millions of fans. ——————— I just happen to like to see where all the looniness is at!

I wonder what would happen if Irwin was asked to wash and dry a dog?

You only see the plates from one side. Maybe he accidentally broke one of the plates in half, and put the halves in the stack so it looks like two plates, and not just two HALVES of a plate.
