The only relatives of my stepmother I’ve not gotten to know are her brothers Raymond and Bryan (I’ve gotten to know her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brother Alan, sisters Diane & Doreen, parents, nieces/nephews, mother’s siblings, some cousins and distant cousins, two ex-husbands, and a son of the second ex-husband).
As a child, I can still remember taking little mini vacations to my great aunt and uncle’s farm in Ohio. They had a huge farm full of sweet hay and a rope swing to play on. They had cows and a lot of cats plus a dog. There was a frog pond too. And we ate fresh currents off the bush and drank clear sparkling spring water. Each summer, all the relatives travelled there for and all day family reunion. Those were the days!

Don’t knock the pigs – they are a source of replacement heart valves.
