Injured fish release chemicals known as schreckstoff- German for scary stuff- through their skin that will cause nearby fish to flee when they smell it! While not actually destroying anything, a nuclear explosion in space can disrupt satellites in electronics over a huge region! Brrrr!! In February, Braunlage, Germany, is home to an annual nude sledding tournament!

Of the many pictures I did NOT need in my head a large group of cold, nude, German men is very close to the top of the list.

A nuclear explorsion used in this way is called an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) . If exploded over the US, it would set our society back into the 1800’s. Most cars and trucks wouldn’t run, all computers would be toast and you wouldn’t have any electricity. Transportation of food would stop and millions would starve. - very scary

I’d enter the sledding tournament sooner than that South Pole 300 Club.
