    Polonium and nicotine: doubly carcinogenic. Kids everywhere from age nine or ten should be taught what a particularly nasty death you can suffer when you get hooked on cigarettes. And if you get hooked before age 15 it is almost certain you will be hooked until they kill you.

    Carbon-14, a radioactive non-metal, can end up in cigarettes and food if it is present in the air in which the plants are grown.

    And that’s why there is arsenic in food and water. Years ago, arsenate of lead was used as a bug killer. Excess went into soil.
