@dkram:I am in no danger of wildfires. I have, as you said, some knowledge of the subject. I have been there, and know how many of those fleeing must feel. That short poem was writen to sjhow how many must have felt.I do thank you for your concern.

Morning, Vagabonds! Got a busy day ahead of me. I’ll be helping set up the community fireworks display this morning. Then I have a wedding this afternoon. Then we have the fireworks display this evening.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Didn’t even go on line yesterday! Had so much to do. Well, so far, I took care of the garden while it was still cool. It got up to 89 yesterday, and just too hot in the sun to do stuff.

We are banned from fireworks in our little neighborhood. We live in the mountains, and it’s been dry and hot and windy. Because of that wildfire (which is still burning in the back country), everyone is very careful about fire danger! So, we haven’t even started up our campfire this season yet. Maybe after we get a little rain and settle things down a bit.

    Good news, Slim!

Good morning Vagabonds. David, sounds like a busy day. I hope you and your community really enjoy your fireworks display. This will be our first Independence Day in our new home, and I have no idea where there may be any displays. (Sadly, after growing up next to Disneyland and their nightly fireworks, I am a bit jaded about them. We probably won’t seek anything out.)

    GOOD AFTERNOON YA’LL

Were celebrating the 4th tomorrow at our little community here at the lake,as we do every year- couple vintage cars, couple songs at the flag pole. a lot of residents dress in red white and blue, kids, grandkids come visit and we walk the community in parade fashion- followed by a cook out in the grove/ dish to pass. At dusk we have fireworks on the berm.( whoever brought them up from FL. & GA -purchased in NC & SC and PA. on our way) The entrance to our little community is all decarated in RW&B as is the little bridge over the creek that goes to the grove and the lake.

Have a nice 4th when or whenever ya’ll celebrate or don’tGod Bless America

A good evening to you all..Slim, I am so glad you are not in any danger. (wipes brow) (no really it’s warm here).Pyrotechnic show on the Fourth in Newport, the Fairgrounds in Barton and other places around the aria.On the 2nd at Thunder Road in Barry, VT, (auto race track), and from the brakewater in Burlington, VT. (date unknown) and in Burlington on New Years Eve, First Nite Fire Works. (there, all the info on fire works shows you ever needed to know, and didn’t care about).Well, with the Fourth close at hand, a question: Which two early Presidents died on the Fourth of July 1826, and for a bonus, which said for his last words, “Is it the fourth yet.”(Source Wikipedia) You may reserch..Did you here about the guy who went out on the Third to get a Fifth for the Fourth. (i’m sorry).Ok, I’ll be moving along now. Be good..ttfn

@Dkram. Of course it was Thomas jefferson and John Adams. What a coincidence that they both died exactly 50 years after they signed the Declaration of Independence!
