    my orange tabby goes out and the crows screech at her. She has brought in lizards, small birds and has caught hummingbirds!

    @jJoan, I am sure your tabby is great and you love her. I have been the Mum to several cats, but I cringe when I hear/read the killing of birds. In the UK they researched the dwindling wild bird population and have found when the birds fly south to winter in France and beyond it is the cat population killing them is # 1 on the list.Birds do such a great job of keeping the insect population down that can cause such damage.All cat should be keep in side but if you can’t please put a bell on the collar. Getting off my soapbox now,

    That may be true (and sad) for an “indoor cat”. A cat with free access to the outdoors would have a much, much longer list…
