Hmm. Do ice cream trucks still drive around? Maybe in some other areas, but I haven’t seen anything like that in 30+ years. Or have these Sunday comics been going retro too?

@skeeterhawk they’ve become “politically incorrect”. Where I live a child died in the 60’s. Today you have obesity, child molesters, and noise issues that have kept the 45 year ban going.

I don’t see an Eskimo Pie in that handful, so maybe I’ll get to have one afterall.

My mother refused to let her younger children buy ice cream from sellers who use ordinary cars with ice cream stickers on the outside, and who also happen to be Middle Eastern. If they’re going to be creeps, by gum they’d better get a real ice cream truck first.

Ice cream trucks come through my neighborhood three times a day between 2 PM & 8 PM every day of the year (except on the three or four days it rains here). But that’s Vegas for you.

Quick, Jason- Steal some ice cream, then throw it at Paige’s face! then, voila- the magic trick is done. you now have a pair of broken glasses.

I was expecting a strip mocking Roger, but sadly, none of the strips have a Father’s day theme. Looks like the PC crowd has won, who needs men anyway.

Gentlemen, quit yer b@#$%ing. Why should comic creators be slaves to a “holiday” created by greeting card companies? Father’s day is claimed as the quid pro quo for Mother’s Day, but it really was started to enhance greeting card sales. The only people who need to reflect that it’s Father’s Day are grateful children.

I’m pretty sure my grandkids do acknowledge Father’s Day. Ice cream trucks have no good memories for me. My X used to inflate his ego by buying for neighborhood kids as he bought rounds at the tavern (while making me skrimp on household expenses).

Yes, Paige you become a preferred customer by buying too much.

I don’t agree with the ban, but the crowd against them has gotten down right hostile around here. Treated my grandkids and kids to ice cream from one while on vacation, they loved it!

Depends on where you live for ice cream trucks to go around. One shows up here randomly, but has in the past week anyway. At least it did while I was here and paying attention at any rate.

In the area around Stockholm they sell really good ice cream at gas stations and stores that you would get from an ice cream truck. If you’re ever there I would definitely recommend getting a cone from there.
