Bug Blog by Cuco Rocha A Hole in the Head A study has found that viewers of Fox News are the most misinformed TV viewers, especially about current events. Hitting yourself in the head with a hammer would make you more informed about current events than if you watched Fox News.

Then there are the studies that show that conservatives are far more knowledgeable in history and economics than liberals. To paraphrase Newton, for every study there is an equal and opposite study.

No one ever sees the places they get their information from as bias; whether it’s FOX, NBC or CBS. They all have an agenda.

Really gutsy, unapologetic, totally false, leftist, politik-speak. So far from the facts makes it hilarious. With drivel like this a cornerstone of Obama’s campaign, he is destined to lose.

Here is the summary of the study, which is on several news sites: Researchers at Fairleigh Dickinson University updated a study they had conducted in late 2011. That study only sampled respondents from New Jersey, where the university is located. This time, the researchers conducted a nationwide poll.
The poll asked questions about international news (Iran, Egypt, Syria and Greece were included) and domestic affairs (Republican primaries, Congress, unemployment and the Keystone XL pipeline.)
The pollsters found that people were usually able to answer 1.8 out of 4 questions on foreign news, and 1.6 of 5 questions on domestic news, and that people who don’t watch any news were able to get 1.22 of the questions on domestic policy right.
As the study explained, though, people who watched only Fox News fared worse:
The largest effect is that of Fox News: all else being equal, someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer just 1.04 domestic questions correctly — a figure which is significantly worse than if they had reported watching no media at all. On the other hand, if they listened only to NPR, they would be expected to answer 1.51 questions correctly; viewers of Sunday morning talk shows fare similarly well. And people watching only “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” could answer about 1.42 questions correctly.Other networks also did badly in some sections; MSNBC viewers and Fox News viewers both fared worse in answering international questions than people who watched no news.

I wish people would stop watching those liars! The problem being is that the people who watch start to believe every word they say and don’t know it’s just an arm of the republican party.they have become brainwashed and hateful. I am really mad about it because I’ve become hateful toward them, and that’s not who I was or who I want to be.

I believe their hobby is studying the news and the social climate of our country – which seems a rather worthy goal.

Unfortunately some errors of fact just won’t go away. There is still a flat earth society, and still folks who insis the moon landing were faked.

night gaunt cites politifact, whose reporting made stewart recant his claim, which you can disagree with if you wish. my favorite of all time comes from washington journal when a lady from minneapolis claimed that the republicans shot down thewellstone plane…
