The Summer of 92. It is legendary among my friends. We had parties EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and no one went home sober if they went home at all. THOSE were great times.

Actually late Spring 1990 – as a graduation present to myself from grad school, I went to Berlin to visit friends. It was after the wall was breached but before it was down or before East Germany had reunified. Friends and I walked all over “no man’s land”, went into the hated guard towers, and then took our sledge hammers and smashed away on the Berlin Wall till we had knocked some of it off. That was very hard – but it felt so good!
