I’m old enough to remember when the Dead Sea was just sick. Old people know this term as “The good old days”. Another term you may want to look up is “OCD”. You may recognize it as “Troll”.

Calvin’s Dad BS’s him, and then Calvin goes and tells it all to his mother. The relationships between these three are as tangled as the pattern on the chair Calvin’s Dad is sitting on.

Just got the sad news of a cousin’s passing early this morning from cancer that she’s been fighting off and on for the last 4 years or so (she was only 49 years of age — just 6 years older than I am right now).

Situations like this should be a lesson for everyone: don’t let feelings of anger, resentment, bitterness, envy, etc., be your constant companions in life and don’t let time drift by before deciding later on which days/years in your past were your best ones. Life isn’t over until it’s over. Make every single day count NOW so that your “halcyon days” are what you’re presently living in . . . because you just never know which day will be your last.

Sorry to be such a downer, everyone.

Time to get back to the funny business of our favorite little scamp, Calvin, and his faithful b.f.f., Hobbes (even though he doesn’t appear in today’s strip)!
