Heart: Well, here we go...another summer and I already have nothing to do. Heart: Give me a sigh, lord! What is it you would have of me?! Heart: On second thought, I know you're in kahoots with Mrs. Angelini...and I don't feel like doing chores.

Every summer my mom would write out the chores, she and I would then spend each Monday getting them done so we didnât have them hanging over our head. Everyone in the family liked it as it completely freed up the weekends when Dad was home to go play!

Whatâs all this about ânothing to do?â When I was a kid on summer vacation, having nothing to do was the best thing about it! Why, go down to the stream and watch the water flow, watch the birds fly by, count the clouds as they pass. Doing nothing was great! Or else use your imagination! Doing nothing is what summer is for!
