Over the next billion years- the sun's heating power is expected to increase by about 10%, at which point it will begin to evaporate our planet's water! Whew! Star Wars fan Jacob French raise more than US $100,000 for charity by walking 3100 miles from Perth to Sydney, Australia, dressed in a storm trooper costume! That’s approximately like walking from Boston to Los Angeles. Australia is a BIG island!

That is an arduous trek to be sure. The only way to accomplish it is to walk across the Nullarbor Plain, a vast featureless desert, dry and hot. Although it would be very flat which would be easier walking than hills. Also, of the 3100 miles, that is about 3000 miles of a whole lot of nothing ( no offense to the occasional roadhouse along the route ) . There is not much between Sydney and Perth. Australia is not nearly as populated in it’s interior as The U.S. is. When I drove it, even though it was a grand adventure, it was still mind numbing.

Providing we haven’t already destroyed the planet before that. Don’t see mankind existing on here a billion years from now.
