I swear I feel my first dog Margaret jumping up on the bed with me at night. It still makes me tear up to look at her pictures.I love every dog I’ve ever had the privilege to share a home with!
there was a pretty good Robin Williams movie titled ‘What dreams may become’ In it, Williams’ character died and went to the afterlife and in it, he met his old family dog who had to be put to sleep for age-related ailments. But the old dog was once again a young, exuberant, bounding doggie once again. To me, it posed an interesting question. If you could only choose one of your many canine companions you had through the years, which one would you choose to be reunited with?
I keep wondering if maybe…God will let us be reunited with our former beloved pets in heaven. I would be so happy to once more run with the four dogs I had, to pet all the cats I loved, and hold my hamsters and hear my parakeets chattering away. What bliss! =)
What a beautiful strip today! I won’t go into all the pets I’ve had and have LOVED them ALL, but I think I KNOW, I miss my 2 dogs,Teddy and Gallagher the most! Two foundlings, not of the same litter at all, but found within months of each other. Grew up together, lived to be 16 and 17 died within months of each other. To this day, I miss them with all my heart!
My dog and I loved soft pretzels and I would always go to the Soft Pretzel factory near my home to buy us a bag on Saturdays. One Saturday after she passed, on my way home with a $1 bag, a $1 bill that was being blown around by the wind landed at my feet. I was spooked for days!

Koko is right. I still see an unaccounted for tail every so often at my home too.

Thinking about the pets I’ve lost in my life brings tears to my eyes. Very good strip as always.

the good thing about dogs is you dom’t have to compare them to previous pets because each has their own distinct personality.
