Already, our greatest ally in the history of our country, Great Britain, is calling Romney “Mitt the Twit!”…..doesn’t look good folks…Right now we have a rock solid individual as president, who knows what he’s doing and is respected the world over. Romney is a shape shifter, he’ll say whatever it takes to be elected. That’s all there is in there. Look into his eyes…there is nothing there, no wisdom, no humor no irony, no nothin’ And on top of that he’s already a stoopid doofus to the rest of the world. Stop. Think. Vote. Peace. Out…

And Obama’s fund-raising in France and Germany looks better? How about the endless list of Obama gaffe’s in the UK like his botched toast, Michelle’s touching the Queen, sending insulting gifts, blowing off the Prime Minister, or how about wondering if he should learn to speak Austrian, et. al.

Try to get news from someplace other than the Guardian, Pravda, and the US MSM. You might be surprised.

congress has even lower approval rating ever. would not be surprised when the new rating poll debuts that it is 1%. where were they when power was out for a week this summer? where were they when the west was burning with wildfires? they were doing sexual favors for their corporate masters.

The only people who need to fear Mitt Romney are the 99%.

We seem to have a disagreement. Here’s a thought, Let’s Vote! And let’s let Everyone vote. Unless there is something you are afraid of.

As a Teddy Roosevelt progressive(Go Bull Moose Party!), Obama’s support of positions held by moderate Republicans disappointed me. The Romney health care plan in Mass., Rubio’s Dream Act, and several other ‘ideas’ he presented were very often first presented by Republicans dating back to Reagan. In his effort to be bipartisan, Obama was giving Republicans things they’d been pursuing for years. Pelosi set a very sour tone in congress and added to the conflict, but the very real impediment to getting things done was the filibuster rule that requires 60% of the senate to pass anything and the Republicans only have to threaten the filibuster to make things stop. And as the senator from Ky said, the main goal of the GOP was to make Obama a one term president. There’s alot of people drowning and at the mercy of ‘sharks’, but our elected officials only care about keeping their positions no matter who it hurts or how many. Both sides are to blame, but because we fail to take the time to find and support candidates who can work together in the spirit of compromise and doing what’s best for us, we are also to blame. When we insult one another and tear down each other, we only make those who would divide us stronger.Here’s an idea- From ABC, NBC, & CBS this Fall!!! Does it really matter? We’ll either be stuck with the incompetent incumbent, or the idiotic interloper after November. If we can’t blame Obama due to the Republican-led congress, then we can’t blame Bush due to the Demcratic-led congress. Since congress controls the purse strings, we can’t blame any president for anything, with possibly the exception of FDR…

I wonder if we will ever have a government for the people. America is great in many ways, but a working Congress is not one of them. Sometimes you just have to laugh at them, and Wiley certainly helps with that.

Reminds me of the GOP’s latest waste of federal time (and our money) – voting for the 33rd – or 34th? – time to repeal Obama’s health care plan.They know it’s been okayed by the Supreme Court, and know their vote won’t clear the Senate, but they keep doing it, over and over, rather than act on something.Isn’t that a definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome?

“Um…I don’t think it matters now.” Even CEO’s, celebs, and fund-raisers are going down eventually. Politicians will take their money all day, and when things get really rough for the politician, will pretend they don’t even know their supporters. Water represents economy? It’s almost alarming to see how many people draw their political opinions from cartoons and other people who’s job it is to ridicule politics… and these are the same people who blamed Bush for his intelligence accountability?

Honestly I feel that as long as we allow politics to be run by money, nothing will ever change. Politicians are more concerned about getting re-elected, which takes obscene amounts of money because of how our system runs, than they are about getting things done. Also, congress does not share the concerns of regular citizens . . they don’t have to worry about how they’re going to afford retirement, they don’t have to worry about if their healthcare will fully cover them, and if they want to live an extravagant lifestyle once their out of office they become lobbyists and get paid crazy amounts of money to manipulate government.

Democrat or Republican . . . sorry, but they’re both playing games and Americans pay the price.

American politics HAVE become a book, unfortunately, most folks never get past the cover, and that’s only the graphic to sell it, even the title doesn’t have to reference the content.(or lack thereof.)

Over the last few years I have seen: congress people playing games on their computers during a budget meeting. Seen that China’s GDP will exceed ours by 2020. Found that we have the world’s greatest trade deficit and China has the greatest surplus. A senator state that we don’t want to upset China and start a trade war.

I have seen Neil DeGrass Tyson give an inspirational speech about giving America a dream, that America was fading to two congressmen one of which was half asleep. There were as many aides as congressmen..Can you imagine JFK giving the Moon shot speech to two disinterested congressmen?.Stupidity is a bus heading towards a cliff at 100 mph and the passengers arguing about who gets to drive.

As much as I dislike commenting on political issues, I have to admit this strip is asking for it . . . BIG TIME. Without being biased against specific organization; if the incumbent and the opposition are not acceptable, can we get a check box labeled: NONE OF THE ABOVE? I’m not bringing this up because of the present situation. I would have used that box in many of the previous elections. Anybody agree?

Get rid of the obstructionist, regresive Reeps in Congress and see how well we can do. Mitch McConnell can spend the next 4 years trying to make Obama a TWO TERM President!

I will say he is rather respected from my point of view; but I have to admit that has something to do with the fact he replaced Bush jr.

Personaly I think you deserve whatever nitwit you elect to office.

On the other side : Reagan was a bummer; Bush jr. was plain stupid; we tend to react on the presidents you choose that is mental to the point that they can turn OUR countries into nuclear wasteland or battlegrounds. Especially because out politicians is rather starstruck when it comes to the GREAT US of A.

One thing I never will understand is the fact that you consider Reagan; the person in history that was closest from starting the third world war nuclear holocaust SIMPLY BASED AS A JOKE, as one of your great leaders! It shows a lack of understanding of the world that is unnerving. (yes , I talked to a couple of his followers… it was an eyeopener to american politics…)

Term limits for ALL politicians and elected officials! After the term is over they may NOT work for ANY government contractor for at least 2 years, and may NOT run for office for at least 8 years.

It’s called the revolving door – some politician get the boot, so he works for a government contractor from his state until the next election. His re-election would be funded in a large part by the company he worked for during his “off” years. The cycle never quits or stops, and it is a conflict of interest problem that is allowed.

Were this comic a commentary on the current congress, it would have two lifeguards/superheroes, who would get into an argument over who is failing to act to save the drowning man.
