Wore glasses since 7, then contacts, then mono contacts (one eye near, one eye far), had Lasik surgery 15 years ago with mono vision. Still don’t wear anything and read the menu for everyone in my age group (62). As CatoCat says, best $1000 I ever spent.
Me and thick glasses…I had to take them off and hide them in a pocket and intimidate/impress a new doctor to get into Special Forces…stick them in a pocket to shuffle out the door for parachute jumps, put them back on to make sure it opened, take them back off to hit the ground, put them back on to bag up the chute…funny now. Never got the hang of smoking, either. Now…science!!!excellent distance vision. The eye of an eagle. The eagle can’t read worth sh&%, though. Reading glasses for up close…fine.
