Why are Republicans suddenly so concerned with ‘voter fraud’? Actual cases have been minuscule.

    Republicans are anti-democracy.

Ah. So you oppose voting by anyone who actually HAS a job, and doesn’t want to risk losing it by running out on it an wasting his time by Voting. And why does Governor “I was too dumb to know my company was involved in Billion dollar Medicare fraud” so terrified of the same “unqualified” voters that elected him?

Because it would cost them votes.

You mean with all the fraudulent votes and ballots filled out ahead of time and stored in warehouses by the democratic party?

You are forgetting, logic and liberals do not go together.

Because – as an NRA friend of mine pointed out – driving and drinking are privileges not rights and responsibilities, as is voting. Now, we are all for making sure that only registered voters vote – which is why people register in the first place and sign their signatures. If I believed for a moment that all this “concern” about legal voters had any validity, I’d be right behind it. However, as has been pointed out time and time again, actual cases of voter fraud are so tiny that they have historically NOT impacted elections. However, the much broader practice of DENYING legally registered US citizens the right to vote – by charging fees, by striking them from the voter roles, by intimidating them … THAT has impacted elections tremendously. Moreover, it impacts our nation by telling certain segments of our society that those in charge do not want them to vote.

The problem is the voter purge is using deeply flawed data that is kicking LEGAL voters off the voter registration. A problem that many florida republicans are admitting to. I thought CONservatives wanted people to legally vote.

I find it interesting that the “evidence” of voter fraud cited by the “conservatives” on this forum consists of little more than stereotypes. No facts and no sources. My voter registration had for some reason challenged. I re-registered twice to make sure they had my full and correct address, only to get the same challenge. They even challenged my registration the first year I volunteered as an election judge. The head judge of my ward got very annoyed by that and had a word with someone. My registration was no longer challenged after that.

I’ve lived in blue states (CA and NY) and the poll workers there openly deride anyone who is not a Democrat. They do this time and again; not on isolated occassions. I can just imagine what they actually did with my ballot after leaving the precinct.

If billionaires made up a majority of the voters, the Reeps would find no problems.

with 10 years searched the state of kansas, they could only come up with 7 violations of voters. This year it is much harder for people to vote.

With all the present amendments? With or without slavery? With or without votes for women? Is it perfect now, with no need for any further amendments ever? As interpreted by the Supreme Court? With Plessy v.Ferguson or without? With Roe v. Wade or without?

Yohann said some negative things about democracy — do you agree? Do you call “the government described in the United States Contitution” democracy, or do you have another name for it?

And I’m waiting to hear from yohann about what system he likes.

Any employee can leave work to vote with no fear of retaliation———————HA! It’s just as hard to PROVE that you were fired for that as for any other legally actionable firing.--And why do libs care about Scott’s company fraud? Medicare loses 60 billion EVERY YEAR without any help from Scott and liberals just yawn as the next fraudster cartwheels into the dealership for his “free” electric lazy-cart.——————There are 2 possibilities with Gov.Scott. Either he’s a crook that got away with Medicare Fraud, or he’s an incompetent businessman who didn’t notice when his employees were getting involved in major Medicare Fraud. Either way IMO, he’s not qualified to run the State. And YES I CARE that a bunch of crooked doctors are taking my hard earned TAX money and lining their pockets on the backs of a bunch of ILLEGAL YANKEE IMMIGRANTS from places like New York and Alabama. It’s not like I’M ever going to see a dime out of Social Security or Medicare.

I don’t know your opinion of obamacare, but if you think fraud and poor quality are problems for American health care now, wait till it costs another trillion in taxes.-—-What part of “Buy Health Insurance like a responsible citizen instead of expecting Free HealthCare at the Emergency Room on the taxpayers’ dime” do you Confusatives not GET??!You INSISTED on it, and NOW you’d rather keep spending MY tax money on those TOO CHEAP to cover their own care.
