What the president did was to decide that it would not be in the country’s best interests, let alone the interest of the people involved, to go after those who were brought here as children. For heaven’s sake, people, think! Picture the small child brought here. What were they supposed to do? Yell, in whatever language you wish, “No, Mommy! Don’t take me across the border! It’s illegal!” What do you expect a little child to do, toddle back across the border on their own? Hold their breath until Mom and Dad give in and take them back? Those kids grew up American, through no fault of their own, and sending them back would be an injustice. Immigration reform, yes, but please check your facts and use your hearts as well as your brains.
