Well, isn’t he a strapping fellow?

Actually, even taller when forced to hop like this on tippy-toe…

In his youth he could hop for several blocks without any sort of aid or appliance….but alas, such things get harder as we age….So now he is bound and determined to recover his skill….even if a nice lawn chair and the newspaper look awfully appealing.

Monkey… all those pictures you posted yesterday were wonderful…

I’m so glad we talked the county supervisors into allowing the sheriff’s department to carry concealed cameras.

I know a lot of the local cats are quite alarmed by the tree-climbing dogs…but really, the pups mean no harm.I hope the kitties will just learn to take it in stride…and most of them wouldn’t really attack a full-grown dog anyway…But I DID notice a few I think you ought to keep an eye on, OK?

Steve is concerned, with good reason. Initially, and with good intentions, his self help program achieved the desired results. However, through his efforts to fine tune every avenue which would assure his continuing success, he has apparently over burdened his psycho-analytic competencies. Now far afield, stranded and feeling confused and somewhat irritated, Steve views others as flourishing and himself as floundering. Take heart, my friend, you are trying too hard, follow your neighbors’ lead, this is Ballard Street, what could go wrong.

ANNOUNCEMENT: “STELBEL REALTY” is prominently advertised at Rogue Symmetry today! I hope you can all go over and check it out! As you know, Derrick and his family currently reside in the Ballard St. neighborhood (in the Mushroom House), very close to the featured exit there.

    Thanks again, Derrick !!

It looks like Steve is still determined to dance “en pointe” even though his age and weight are making it difficult. He knows, of course, that he’ll probably end up at “Ballard Orthopedics and Dry Cleaners” for joint replacements and new creases in his trousers, but his love of ballet overrides his common sense.Shirl and Eugene are no strangers to Steve’s pathetic attempts, and even though they pretend disinterest, they have their cell phones at the ready to contact emergency services…again.

O.K. Ballard Street inmates…er … I mean residents…. the British Open is over for the day – which I viewed in its entirety – and my household chores are done ( sorta ) – and I’m functioning on approximately 3 hours sleep ( counting naps ) – so fair warning, once I walk and feed Zeke the Zydeco Zebra, and recharge my cannons, I will be back to revel in all the rapid rapporteur, reminiscent of my rascally days in Rome.In the meantime, have a great Friday evening. Love y’all.

    Darn!

After a day’s work, even if I decide to stay on my end of Ballard St. instead of taking the bus to Santa Rosa, by the time I get outside to say good evening, all the neighbors along the farther eastern reaches of the street are heading off to bed.

    Sigh….Well, good evening anyhow!

I have to say to my fellow knee-impaired neighbors…. I understand!

Who needs the Weather Channel when the elves who live in your joints own full sets of forecasting equipment?

Everything from thermometers, to storm warnings and humidity gauges!

But I’d appreciate it more if they didn’t keep up the continual hammering and remodeling projects in there, and leave the water running i the tub till my knees swell up.

Stel…. not sure I understand why you e-mail yourself comics instead of right-clicking and saving them….or am I misunderstanding?

But yeah, you can “star” any strip and it becomes your most recent favorite, and shows on your profile.

Then if you UNstar it, the page goes back to displaying the next most recent, which is what you had there before.
