I feel sure that yesterday’s outage had something to do with some sites yanking their scheduled comics at the last minute due to the event in Colorado.
Universal makes its money from newspaper syndication, not from this site that so many readers refuse to pay even a dollar a month to help maintain…
Newspaper comics and some features are sent out far in advance.Whole pages are printed days ahead, weeks sometimes for Sundays…and I’m sure these were being folded for the papers by the time the event even occurred.
I used to go with a guy who worked at a paper and could sneak a look at the Sunday comics pages by Wednesday or Thursday.
