Not all friends are friends for the exact same reasons.

Yes, the logic is valid, and the false inference is a result of starting with false premises.

Does Frazz really need the exercise that a reel mower provides?

Apples are red. Apples are good to eat. Fire engines are red. Therefore, fire engines are good to eat.

    (1) All squares are triangles.(2) This circle is a square.(3) Therefore, this circle is a triangle.

That’s only true for very large circles.

I’m trying to write a sentence in English that cannot be written.

I’m sure you know that there are three words starting with “t” and include a numeral (two), etc. However, you can state these three exist in one statement (“There are three t…s in the English language”), everyone in your audience agrees, but can NOT write the statement.

Many others, of course; but be careful of the language you speak.

If everything that eats mosquitos is a friend, that does not imply that all friends eat mosquitos. Just like all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares.

Also curious why my iPad leaves mosquito alone but wants to capitalize Mosquitos.

neatslob: I thought it might have been a placement by de Havilland, but they were bought out by Hawker Siddley and then became Airbus. [WW-II balsa and plywood everything except ambulance – even BOAC airliners on the Stockholm/Leuckers run.]

Eating mosquitos is a sufficient condition for being a friend. It is not a necessary condition.

Reel mowers are less noisy and far less polluting than gas mowers, plus they cost less to use.

No cat has eight tails. Every cat has one tail more than no cat. Therefore every cat has nine tails. (Yes, I already know about manx cats, but there are no absolutes.)
