Eldo and Sandfan, as always, many thanks for you additions to today’s Andy which I think were funnier than the current one.Any change in Andy’s habits in haberdashery would be hilarious but seeing him in sartorial splendor would simply be silly.
The funniest thing is that the clerk is calling Andy “Sir.” (When I was a kid and watching British TV or movies, I wondered why every clerk was named “Clark.” And don’t even get me started on “leftenant!”) @SandfanRe-reading some of my collection last night and I came across one where Andy’s new coat is much too big for him. When he protests, Flo replies “But after a few falls in the canal it will fit fine.” Andy then agrees, “Yeah, yer got to allow for shrinkage.”
I have never heard many Beatle songs to be honest. I don’t know much about them but they are good. I have a CD of them buried under all of my other CDs.
The ‘All Things Must Pass’ sounds pretty cool.
Thank you for the link too… Looks like people on there love a good natter.
What other films do you like.. I already know you like Quadrophenia. I like the name.
I love the ‘sinister quality’ of Buni too. Sometimes it’s cute and sometimes it’s scary.
As a native S. Californian who was in high school in ‘73 when Quadrophenia came out, I am thrilled to hear some of the "Queen’s Subjects" speak so highly of the album. For me (a confessed all things Anglophile), Quadrophenia is the best album I’ve EVER heard. Not coincidentally, Mr. Townsend has said it is his most gratifying work ever produced. That’s saying quite a bit considering the cataloge he’s responsible for. Lastly, the band is about to commence a world tour in support of the album. Coming to the states mid-fall; to S. CA end of January ‘13/start of February ’13.@ Number Three: You might want to check the tour out if you like the music. It’s truly magical to this “old foggie”!!

Andy does his best to take care of his wardrobe, but he’s just not very good at it…
But when replacements are necessary, he knows exactly what he wants…
The trouble starts when he lets Flo make his choices…

Good thing the comic is more important than the color. My thanks, too, to Eldo and Sandfan.

Andy Capp & several other comics that previously were in color have gone to b/w. 1 more reason why I shouldn’t renew my subscription to Go Comics

I LOVE the way Flo pushes Andy with one finger.
Andy looks as though Flo is putting a gun in his back the way his face expression is.
Flo, Don’t you remember the LAST time you took him to a posh sophisticated place?
LOL xxx

Andy Capp 1961
This goes to show that Flo is VERY embarrassed having Andy as a husband.

I love your classics.
Especially the top one.
I’ve often wanted to do that myself…

Oh har de har har.
Sorry… I didn’t realise you had posted four classics. I meant the one where Flo is dragging Andy into the shop.
So it’ll be the 3rd strip.

Andy seems to be a little off-colour today – Maybe this will compensate.

LOL LOL. That sounds nice.
I love sitcoms but never saw ‘Married with Children’
Have you heard of the sitcom ‘Only Fools and Horses?’ I used to giggle at that everytime it came on TV.
I would watch ‘Quadrophenia’ but I think Number Six said that it had violence in and I’m sort of sensitive to that stuff (I know it’s silly)
The Quad album sounds nice though. Was the film based on it?
Enjoy the weather…
Til’ tomorrow.
