I like the third panel, it’s so with me! When I want to do something bad, I see Santa, looking with sorrow, this mostly is a good warning!

Susie is starting the processes of moulding Calvin into an obedient boy friend /husband.

Smacking Susie with a snow ball aint nothing but pure fun,if Hobbes did not always want smooches from Susie he would not be so hard on Calvin.

Considering the historical figures the strip is named after, I believe many of them have theological undertones. They are just so entertaining that we tend to miss it.

Now Santa will send a polar bear out of the woods to tear Calvine and Susie apart.

santa is in the wrong career. he has this omnipresent intelligence agency. he should use it to make a world a safer place.

There goes my thought from yesterday’s strip(which pictured a snowball in Calvin’s left hand and Susie to Calvin’s right. Today the snowball was in Calvin’s right hand and Susie is to his left) that Calvin was throwing the ball with left hand therefore had less chance of hitting Susie.

Susie needs to start going with the flow. She’s much too reactionary.

Romans 6:7: “For he who has died has been acquitted from his sins.” You didn’t die, Calvin, so repentance is still required. But, hitting Susie with a slushball is not listed anywhere as a mortal sin…so go get another one!

Sometimes Calvin is so dumb. What did he think was going to happen — or does he actually enjoy being beaten up by a girl?

“knocking her fillings out” is just Calvin’s way of saying that he wants to rock her world.

Retaliation is a better word in my first comment. Retribution is what the offender can sometimes do to make up for the wrong he has done.

Ah, the path of true love never runs smoothly. Calvin is attracted to Susie. but he doesn’t know what to do, so he picks on her. Susie is attracted to Calvin, but she won’t take his abuse. If they ever get their relationship problems resolved, they will look back at this and laugh.

Susie clobbered Calvin! Hurray! He had it coming!

Maybe Calvin should have pictured Santa mad BEFORE he smacked Susie upside the head with a snowball instead of afterwards. His fake apology for fear of getting no Christmas presents 5 days from now isn’t fooling anybody — least of all Santa!!!!!
