Just think! If Congress had imposed a tax to rebuild Washington after the perfidious Brits burned it in 1812, they could be using it now to help fund Social Security. [Yes, know it wasn’t gratuitous, but was retaliation for us Yanks’ burningYork.]

Must be in a budget meeting (with the ones playing games)..We pay a Wheel Tax to support building the roads and it gets spent on everything else, then they tell us that they need an increase.

Personally I think this is the way most of our politicians are when they vote, on ANYTHING. “Need to pass it to know what’s in it.” Sound familiar?

No,we don’t. They didn’t teach us about our lotburning York before your lot burnt Washington, readit in a Canadian tourist guide.

You have your version of history and we have ours.

Not to mention the version we never learn from. Otherwise we would realize that people don’t like to be “liberated”. If they don’t do it for themselves, they would much rather not have it done at all.
