Bucky: Ok. I have modified the ferret threat level warning system to compensate for your not seeing color. Satchel: No, I do see some colors, but- Bucky: Whatever the color-coding is still in place, but now each color is represented by an iconic fruit, thus providing both choleric and iconic representation. For example, the blue, or guarded, level represented by blueberries. The elevated, or yellow, level is... um.... Satchel, did you just eat the threat banana?

My lab had a fetish for oranges but cheerfully took bannanas and and most over fruit slices. It was hilarious the time he begged for a piece of grapefruit apparently thinking it was an orange. He ate, didn’t ask for another piece that day though.

Bucky is actually using some inventiveness here.
And, as a color-blind coworker once told me, “You’re asking ME to loook at the red note on your spreadsheet?”

LOL! Jimmy, the Rottie in my picture, loved bananas, but I’ll never forget the first time he tried one. He was begging and begging me to have a bite, simply because I was eating one. I finally broke off a piece and gave it to him, and he inhaled it….. then spit it out. NOT what he was expecting! Finally, after sniffing it a while, he chewed it up and asked for more. :)

my dog loves bananas and once stole and ate the peel too.

Bucky should have known that bell peppers are the best for this as they come in green, yellow, orange, red, purple… and Satchel is less likely to eat them. (Purple bell peppers are uncommon, so you can substitute with eggplant.)

Yes he did, I saw him do it.

I would think the banana would represent the highest threat level to a cat, as every one I’ve known has had a strong dislike of bananas, to the point they move away from it.

my spaniel cross would eat cherrries, spit out the pits. And steal the apples mom had picked. …. Red Ferret Alert best not be a red Apple or Satchel is going to spoil his dinner with all this fruit.
