Is Trudeau beginning to slip? Is an official DNC speech-review committee holding one of its members to what a rich brat Twitters about her Grammy?

Heh, even if Alex could use a good slap, that is a clever use of hashtags in the guy’s punch line.

Just stick to the “I’m a native American I think….I have high cheek bones..,” makes her look as stupid as those that would vote for her…

“(cough) [Alex] rich?”πEver see her daddy’s [Mike Doonesbury’s] home? Ever wonder how she made it through Harvard undergrad $chool? Ever see how her stepmom Kim dresses and the jewelry she wears? Ever wonder why Leo’s mom, Mrs. DeLuca, who lives in a trailer, wants her son to marry into — uh, strike that last bit, will ya?

Interesting that Mrs Deluca would be poor. I tend to associate the name Deluca with Dean & Deluca, not a poor person store…

Their energy goes a different direction than ours. Ours goes upward, toward our brains. Trolls are different, their energy goes out their nether regions. However many can type that stuff, though. Amazing. Talk-show radio-trained…deep and repeatedly hypno-implanted by El Gasbo, day after day…drip drip drip. GIGO, remember? That’s a primary component for gaining results…in education, too. Pick your influences of better quality, you get better stuff out…pick the hypno-meanness of GasBo and you get fluttery confederates, fanning themselves all over fat over-dressed America…God help us, and save us from your dumber acolytes.

Oops sorry about the cute nickname. It was one of Romney’s own advisers who said that once he was the GOP nominee that they could change his views, just like an Etch-a-Sketch.

Hmmmm… Thought I heard Unca Alby for a moment there.

The reasons we become liberal or conservative is very complex. It isn’t always about our own environment or what our parents have taught us. Most of the affluent people I tend to associate with are more concerned about taxes than they are the social agenda of the GOP. The issue of taxes is the reason they are Republican it would seem, or that is what they say anyway. Of course, those of us who aren’t Republican and aren’t fabulously wealthy are not really crazy about paying taxes either. But, we like good schools, good roads, nice public libraries, etc. and we recognize that those things have to have funding in order to exist.
montessoriteacher about 12 years ago
The GOP is looking out for those folks like Romney, who has plenty of $. He pays a much lower rate of tax than many who have nowhere near as much $. Some of the lower income folks don’t seem to realize this and are hooked onto the GOP by the social agenda of the GOP.
montessoriteacher about 12 years ago
Even though there are few who have the $ of the Romneys of the world, those who support the GOP often think they are going to get there, even though this is extremely unlikely.

Yes. I live here for reasons entirely unrelated to the political climate here— family, basically.

I think many of the posters on Doonesbury were hoping mostly to converse with those who appreciate Doonesbury and his point of view. We like to discuss what he is saying and try to interpret it without having to constantly defend it. I don’t really see the point in always having to defend his story. There are times when it does seem interesting to have that conversation with someone who doesn’t seem to understand where he is coming from, but not from those who simply just hate him. I really think the haters should just save us and themselves by going somewhere else.

“Remember the joke comes first then satire then reality.”πThe moore I’sa tryin’the more I’sa dyin.πIt’s rough out thereInna troll-fouled air.πY’all fine folk,I’ma white-trash bloke.πOnna great stage floorNeah the one rear door.π(I once had a southern Texas drawl, having been raised till I was eight years old on the tippy-tippy toe of that great state (McAllen, near Brownsville, right on the Rio Grande, the Tex-Mex border). But having moved to Michigan against my will, I lost my accent, along with some of my sanity. Nothing against the Michiganders, what-the-hey, eh?)

That poor woman! Saddled with an adoring granddaughter who idolizes her & can’t stop bragging about her! Boy, my grandparents had the right idea, never doing anything that might risk making me proud to be related to them! All you people who are hating on Alex during this storyline,… yeah I know she’s annoying, but come on. It’s really sweet that she loves her grandma so much. I never had that kind of close relationship with my grandparents, and I envy these two.
