I wonder where Andy met the Vicar? It certainly wasn’t in church. The only reason Andy would go to church is if they were using real wine in the Sacrament.
@ jadoo that was funny…you have the same warped sense of humour that I do!…(spelt humour & spelt the British way as it is a British strip after all!!…lol)News of the trip: We stopped in Sitka yesterday to have a short break, and most of us mailed postcards and packages back home. We still had a couple of hours to waste after we did our mailing and walked around and saw Sitka’s historic buildings etc. The museum was closed for remodeling!!…grrrrr…It was warm and humid so Helen and I decided to stop at a seaside pub/bar and shoot some pool and have a cold beer…Molsons if anyone is interested because thats what they had on tap…We were shooting pool and a couple of “younger” (mid to late 40’s) men came up and asked if we wanted to play partners. We said ok, and proceeded to wipe the pool table with them. They didnt ask, so we didnt tell them we played in a pool league back home in Minnesota…lol*… They were actually pretty good, but they were mostly interested in “hitting” on us. Well, this gave Helens and my own ego quite a boost, but we had to decline the dinner invitation and get back to the ship. They gave us email addys and phone numbers, but I doubt we ever use them. We had dinner at the first officers table last night, and ended up having too much wine, but it was a fantastic dinner and we both slept like logs last night. This morning while we were having breakfast, a neighboring table got up and ran to the deck, so we followed and looked out ourselves and there they were, 3 Blue Whales! One was so much smaller that we knew it was the baby of one of the larger ones. They were simply awe-inspiring!! However, there is one drawback to the large whales. Their blowing reeks to high heaven!!! You do NOT want to be close enough to get any of the back splash on you! We have been using the pool a lot, and doing the lite aerobics class just so we can try to offset all the great food and alcoholic beverages we have been consuming, and I sure hope it helps… lol…I am sort of tired today and am taking it easy the rest of the day. We have a stop again tomorrow in a town with supposedly great shops and “quite a good museum” according to our British purser. I am looking forward to getting more smoked salmon to ship to my son and his wife as they both like it. Personally I love salmon but think smoking it ruins it. Someone please stop me from buying things for my yet to be born grandson. What if he doesnt like Kuchina dolls and big stuffed Bears and Whales and Seals?…lol…Hope everyone is doing well. Bev, what did your Dr. say about your fall and that lump?…Linquist, hope your ribs and the soreness is improving….Eldo, Fanolio, Half Pint, and everyone….the extra’s the last couple of days (I just got caught up) have been excellent! Thank you all!Since I missed yesterday, you get double hugs today…2 – 2 – 2 hugs in one! ((((((( Cappers! )))))))
I remember one episode where Andy met the vicar on the street, and the vicar thanked him for singing in the church choir the night before, and Andy thinks to himself, “So THAT’S where I was?” Does anybody remember even one episode that showed the vicar actually in church? (For that matter, does anybody know the vicar’s name?)
Thanks, Fanolio, for showing the vicar in front of the church. (Not inside, mind you…..I’m still waiting to see if there was EVER an Andy episode set inside a church.) And thanks to Stagger Lee the old song “Skip a Rope” is threatening to become my latest earworm……..

Surely the vicar believes that Andy was created in God’s image.

Was that a bathroom? I thought Flo and Ruby were putting him out in the yard because he was in front of the living room fire?

Andy’s common sense always crushes the Vicar’s platitudes…
But Andy does appreciate the Vicar’s efforts…

If it weren’t for the Andy Capps of the world, the Vicars would be out of business. It’s no challenge to save the willing.

Andy is such a cheeky……
I better stop right there before I have another rant.
It’s bad enough when Andy falls asleep in the Vicar’s sermons.

What is the episode where the vicar hugs Andy in the street and then Andy checks for his wallet?
