We always can use more examples of what we shouldn’t be, just in case we are what we’re not supposed to be.Which begs the question: " To be or not to be?"
Actually, Mary’s got a point. Too bad so many people take the opposite lesson. Pretending to be a good Christian is very easy. Being one for real is very hard.
lol! So many “Christians” . . . so few practicing Christians!Mark 10:17-25, Matthew 19:24, Luke 6:24, Luke 12:21, Luke 12.33, Luke 12.48b, Luke 16:13, etc, etc . . .
Here is an interesting question; If, as most “Christians” believe, “The Meek shall inherit the Earth”, where does that leave the Republican Party? Ever meet a “meek” Republican? Most of the Republicans I have met are rude, pushy, obnoxious, self-absorbed nincompoops who are TOTALLY convinced of their own importance, and FAR from “Meek”!Case in point…Rusty Lamebrain, or Billow Reilly.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>But they have God on their side. Just ask them !
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”Matthew 7:21-23
Ugh, let’s not get into the Scots. I got an earful from them about true Scottishness for six years. Enough to give you a permanent headache.
The fact remains that most people who claim to be good Christians aren’t. It’s much easier to go with Caesar than it is to go with Christ as he was envisioned by his early followers and fair enough. Practicing that faith is not for everybody; it may not be for most. But don’t say you’re working for one when you’re working for the other one because they’re very different.

Kirk is actually a good Christian and person, he just has no business trying to explain science.

It’s no longer the word of Christ – it’s the word of the Church.

Since Jesus never wrote anything down (that we know of), we will never know what he really said.

You know those U.S. churches with the big, huge crosses standing in the lawn?
If Jesus comes back, they’re ready for Him.
