I didn’t get a sugar cube for my polio vaccination. I’ve got a nice bullseye scar where they stuck me.

I love this strip, and today’s installment rocks. I literally LOL’ed, and I’m at work! Gonna get me in trouble, Dana, they already think I’m crazy. Wonderful, expressive art.

Go for it Phoebe! Put on the proverbial cape-and-cowl and be the superheroine and save Dakota’s party (and feelings) for her! Trust me, you’ll feel better if you do!

I remember sometimes polio vaccine would be in a spoon, with a flavor that was something like cherry axle grease. That was up to about second grade.After that were “booster” shots, at least once every year, with needles that hurt like a beech. Sorry, I never liked needles, I always hated them and I always will. Today I can endure them somewhat better, but I’ll always hatehatehate them.

Well, politics can be interesting in a well-reasoned forum but this is about a little girl and her unicorn and their creator. It does bother me that the strip doesn’t update earlier in the day, though. I’m always afraid I’ll miss something.
