I’m pretty sure I broke mine when I was 12 (slipped on ice, landed butt first at an angle on a concrete curb). For some reason, they didn’t want to x-ray a 12 year old girl’s pelvis. They said there wasn’t much they could do anyway. They can’t splint it or put it in a sling, so…. (I wonder if that is how “getting your butt in a sling” expression got started?)
