My understanding is that with Texas Longhorn cattle, the cows are the ones that have the nicer curled horns, i.e., the popular image that everyone thinks of, more like those that Dusty’s Caddy is sporting. The bulls’ horns are thicker and straighter, at least in my limited experience (and by hearing it from those who claimed to know more about it than me). Anyway, Dusty’s trophy could well be from a cow (no idea if bull vs. steer makes any difference in the horns).

The animal that carried those horns likely weighed almost as much as the Cadillac. Surprised the car survived.

It seems Mr. Pandloph’s character learned anything without college, either. Cows DO have horns. :)
