Flying Pig? They were in beautiful Cincinnati, Oh. for our annual marathon in May every year. Also, wearing the shirt helps the nurses have an easier time avoiding sleeves. Thanks Jef!

I cannot quote it perfectly, but Redd Foxx said something along the lines of “all these health nuts are gonna feel stupid in old age when they find themselves dyin’ of nothing!”

Well, they shouldn’t have changed the ‘normal’ parameters because of the increase in numbers of unfit, unhealthy people!

Reminds me of Dave Barry’s book on fitness and nutrition, Stay Fit and Healthy until You’re Dead.

I don’t quite understand why everyone wants to live longer when most probably won’t have the money to do so. So, my motto is: “Live longer and reside in a cardboard box”!

It IS true that folks w/ low bp & pulse get hassled. I’ve had to “wait to see the doctor” many times because they thought I was unhealthy.

@Bigpuma: I’m sorry, but your snarky take is a measure of you, not this strip. I can always trust Frazz to leave me with a laugh and a smile and sometimes I even get to learn something new—like in today’s strip.

Ok, that’s genuinely helped me understand where you’re coming from. Personally I have to disagree, because Frazz’s humorous comments come in a context of being the most helpful, outgoing optimist in the strip – he earns his right to his humour – and he also helps us to laugh at ourselves. From my perspective (and I acknowledge yours is just as valid) I interpret it that Jef is incredibly aware of what he’s doing here. I guess the only thing left that I don’t understand is, why would you spend time coming back, and reading, and commenting on something you find so objectionable? What is your intent in doing so?

And thanks again. A detailed response. So now when our paths cross and I respond with righteous indignation to your inflammatory comments, we can both share a chuckle (at the expense of other people less intelligent than us, of course). Wait. What?

Frazz seems to be well aware Miss Plainwell catches a lot of admirers.
